Fat Albert Smokehouse and Store
Fat Albert Smokehouse takes the freshest Stewart Island salmon and meats from around New Zealand and follow traditional recipes to produce subtly smoked, highly flavoured, gourmet smoked products; including salmon, duck, chorizo sausage and venison.
Our products are all made by hand and we follow traditional, slow methods of food production. Our smoked salmon is hand-sliced, giving thinner cuts and, crucially, enhancing the natural salmon flavour. We strive to be chemical free, most of our products are free from sulphites and many are gluten-free.
You can purchase our products from our on-site shop or email us with your order. We carefully pack and courier to you in an insulated container on ice, ensuring our products get to you fresh and fast. Please ring for opening hours.
